BABYBJÖRN Baby Carrier One
Multifunctional front and back baby carrier.
Ergonomic and Safe Babywearing
Perfect fit from newborn to 3 years
Specially designed to fit your baby right from birth, the Baby Carrier One has firm, adjustable head support for secure and proper placement of baby’s head and neck. The legs and hips are in an ergonomically correct position that is recommended by pediatricians. Your child is always carried upright, which keeps airways open and allows you to check on your baby’s breathing.
Extra-padded shoulder straps and supportive waist belt
The baby carrier has shoulder straps with thick padding to make carrying even more comfortable for you. Additionally, the stability of the waist belt gives real pressure relief when you carry. It allows the weight of baby to be more evenly distributed for a more comfortable fit.
Easy to use without assistance
Baby Carrier One is easy to use by yourself in all positions, both on the front and the back. The strong, well-designed latches on the front click securely and are easy to release with one hand. The front opens completely so that you can lift your sleeping baby out without waking him or her.
Four Front and Back Carrying Positions
Newborn position - no infant insert necessary!
The Baby Carrier One helps you stay in close contact with your infant and reinforce the parent-child bond from the very beginning. You carry your child high up on your chest and close to your heart. Your newborn baby is soothed and reassured by the warmth of your body and the sound of your heart and voice. And as a parent, you learn to recognize and understand your baby's needs.
Older baby facing-in option
The Baby Carrier One offers three front carrying positions, including a position for older babies that want to face in.
Outward-facing option
From 5 months of age you can fold down the head support and start carrying your child facing outwards for shorter periods. At this age, the baby's neck muscles, as well as hips and spine, are sufficiently developed. And most babies this age are excited to be able to see what is going on around them, while staying safe and close to their parent.
Safe to place child on your back
The baby carrier's well-conceived design allows you to get your toddler on your back without help in a safe and easy way. With the child facing inwards in the front carrying position, you slide him or her around to your back in a way that avoids all risky moments. Convenient and practical when your toddler gets tired and wants a piggyback from mommy or daddy.
Made with Your Baby in Mind

- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2014After extensive research (and I seriously mean it when I say extensive) I finally decided on this carrier, and I'm very happy with my decision! This carrier is excellent and excellent quality. We purchased this to use for our 6 week old daughter. We also have a two year old so I was in great need of having both hands, and arms, free to wrangle him. This carrier is extremely user friendly, easy to get on and off, and everything adjust very smoothly, even while you have it on with baby in it. I read a few reviews saying that there baby sat way to low in the carrier, even in the newborn setting. I'm not sure why they had that problem because I certainly did not and I can't see how you possibly could have that problem with this carrier. My daughter sits perfectly in it (I am able to kiss her head, which is recommended) and she is very secure and comfortable. and there is no head wobbling or getting crunched up. My favorite part is definitely the fact that the front completely comes undone allowing you to take out a sleeping baby with extreme ease! No tugging on a stuck baby or getting one leg stuck in there. A carrier we had in the past my son would get stuck every time we tried to get him out, my husband would have to hold the bottom of the carrier while I pulled my son on out, so annoying. This carrier definitely doesn't have that problem. Everything about this carrier is functional! I really like the way it's designed to go on as well. it's So simple, you don't have to worry about trying to buckle anything behind your back, which to me is just crazy! The material is a very soft canvas material which I really like, and I haven't had a problem with me or my daughter overheating while she is in it and we live in a very warm climate & I am one that is usually always hot. My husband also really loves this carrier. He absolutely did not think it would be worth spending that much $ but once he used it (just once) he told me he was wrong and that it was definitely money well spent! And my hubby does not like spending money. Not sure if this info helps but I am 5'6" and 165lbs and I have no problems with getting this carrier adjusted, it fits beautifully, it is just so perfect. And my husband is 5'10" and 185 lbs and he says the same about how it fits. So hopefully this review helps those of you like me that read review after review trying to find the perfect product. I highly recommend!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2013My first baby is now three months old; in those three months, I have tried out SO many carriers before coming to this one. It is, hands-down, my favorite. Both my baby and I remain comfortable while using it for extended periods of time. Since buying it a few weeks ago, I have been using it daily for long walks (up to one and a half hours, with elevation gain) and when bringing the baby with me to the grocery store. It's easy to put on and take off (without needing anyone to help me with buckles behind my back, as with other carriers).
By the way, I don't think you should worry at all about getting it set up the first time (other reviews kind of scared me about this before I bought it).The Baby Bjorn website has a short video that describes the settings (newborns vs. older kids) how to adjust it, which simplifies matters.
The only thing I don't love about the Baby Bjorn One are the buckles they use -- I find them a little awkward, but I've gotten the hang of 'em. I like the buckles on my Baby Bjorn Original better, but the functionality of the One totally outweighs any minor quibbles I have with the buckles.
In case you are considering other carriers, here are the other ones I tried:
* Baby Bjorn Original: A friend gave me one of these as a hand-me-down. Because it doesn't have a waist strap, all of the baby's weight is carried on your shoulders, so my back got sore after about 30 minutes of wearing it each time. But my baby always seemed perfectly comfortable in it. An unintended nice feature of this one: When the baby is riding in the newborn, facing-you position, the top of the carrier is shaped perfectly to hold a baseball cap over the baby's head, to keep the sun off her face.
* Baby Bjorn Miracle: I prefer the full waist strap of the One to the lumbar support of the Miracle.
* Sakura Bloom sling: I use this around the house when I want to quickly pick up the baby and carry her without much fuss (typically, when I'm trying to make breakfast and feed the dogs in the morning), but I can't wear the baby for extended periods of time in it without getting achy. Definitely the most fashionable of the carriers I've tried.
* Lillebaby Complete (similar to Ergo): Very comfortable for me to wear, but it's hard to get the top strap attached behind my back. My baby didn't seem as comfortable in this one, at least not in the "froggy" newborn position -- she would always start to fuss after about 30 minutes. (Though I have friends who have these and swear by them.)
* Boba Wrap (like a Moby Wrap): Okay, so you may be like me and be a little intimidated by the wrapping procedure, but after doing it about five times, you'll realize that it's really not a big deal. My take: For use with a newborn, a wrap is ideal for babies who love to be swaddled. Our baby is not a fan of the swaddle, and similarly resists the confinement of the wrap. As she gets older and can graduate to other carrying positions, we may use it more. One thing I didn't like: if you want to do this in the grocery store parking lot, the ends of the wrap end up dragging on the ground as you wrap it up. That said, I suppose you could just do up the wrap at home, and then drive to the grocery store with it on to get around this issue.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2016Ive been using baby bjorn original but I needed something ergonomic style when she turned 1. i like this carrier but I find this just okay. i noticed that the thighs is not so high compared to other ergonomic carriers like lillebaby, tula and so on.
PROS:
secure head support from newborn onwards
great buckles
straps are very easy and quick to adjust even with one hand
classic elegant look
hip padding support is great
and great back support and easy to adjust
easy to put on
feels comfy to wear
CONS:
black gets lint very easy, or has lint. (IDK)
mesh is only on the inside part
(black cotton mix)
not so high reg. about the baby's thigh
just a very basic safe carrier
others:
stiff material. its great but its kind of hot if your baby is sweating a lot
not very innovative i.e. no pockets or hoods like competitors

5.0 out of 5 stars Super practico

5.0 out of 5 stars A parent’s best friend.Worth getting your baby used to this ..
Takes a little practice to understand set up but once you are in the swing of it, this becomes your best friend for effortless baby mobility. We used it extensively to hike in the mountains. Gave us brilliant service for over two years and now our kid has outgrown it. Imagine it would be uncomfortable in hotter weather but have used it at airports and malls occasionally. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Caro pero funciona muy bien
Mi bebé va muy cómoda, se queda dormida en el babybjorn. Aunque se me hace caro, vale la pena por la distribución del peso y la comodidad del bebé; resulta muy práctico y seguro.
